Are you Interested in Volunteering at the Veterinary
Student interns work a minimum of 6 hours per week in the clinics of the WSU Veterinary Hospital, learning valuable skills and gaining experience they can put to use in veterinary school and beyond.
How It Works:
Pre-Veterinary WSU and University of Idaho students are eligible to apply.
Applications to the program are due at the end of October, to begin interning in January, or April to begin interning the following August
Eligible students should intend on going to veterinary school after graduation, and must be able to participate in the program for the full 3 semesters, so preference is typically given to Sophomores and Juniors.
Students rotate through the Large Animal clinics: Ag Animal, Barn Crew, Equine Medicine, and Equine Surgery.
Students rotate through Small Animal clinics: Anesthesia, Community Practice, Exotics, Neurology, and Referral.
Students act as mentors to the incoming interns and get to choose one or two clinics to work in for the entire semester.
The Fall 2017 application period is now closed.
Check back in October for the Spring 2018 application.
You cannot save an incomplete application, do not begin the application until you are ready to complete it.
